Who are you meeting?

I was once told that the only person you meet in a group is yourself.

Quite a powerful statement as it taps into how we make sense of our own experiences and how open we are to truly understanding others.

We all know the phrase that we should put ourselves in the shoes of others first. Is imagining what it would feel like enough? Or do we need to do more to really try to understand how things look and feel from that different perspective.

With that in mind, take time to think:

  • Who are you struggling to align with at the moment?
  • What steps have you taken to understand their perspective?
  • What more could you do?

As leaders, we can show our people that we are role modelling the changes that all of us want to see. Let’s be better and be the change. Contact [email protected] if you would like help to do so.
